Church History

 

Children of Destiny International Worship Center was founded in August 2006 on the Campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. We had our first service on Sunday August 27, 2006 with five members present. From that day forth God continued to bless our ministry and at to it as he saw fit. Currently Children of Destiny International Worship Center is reaching out, and sharing the Love, Power, and Word of God to the citizens of Columbia, and all the college students that reside here in this great city.

Since the formation of Children of Destiny International Worship Center we have had one goal and that is to see souls saved, and lives impacted for Jesus. As a church we have seen God sustain us and bring through test after test when all the odds were against us and everyone else had counted us out. We have had a very humble beginning and we believe because of our willingness to accept that Humble beginning that's why we are seeing the Blessings of God like we do. Since we have been here in Columbia, Missouri we have seen many men and women come to and build a deeper relationship with God. We know that this only the beginning of what God whats do in and through us!!!

 

Children of Destiny International Worship Center is apart of Children of Destiny International Ministries, Inc which was founded over eight years ago by our shepherd, Prophet and Pastor Timothy G. Borders.

This ministry was born out of much yearning to bring Purpose back to the body of Christ and to proclaim the message that GOD had given unto Pastor Borders that message is “God has a specific Purpose for each and every one of us and His Glorious Church!!!” Thus came forth Children Of Destiny International Ministries, Inc “A Ministry with a DIFFERENCE!!!! A ministry call for such a time as this, and now the time has come in which GOD'S true Church shall stand the Church that has been AWAKENED, and know there Purpose and ready to Fulfill The Destiny of the Church.

 

Church Purpose:

Our purpose as a church is to encourage and strength your faith that you may grow spiritually to the full measure and stature of Jesus Christ; and that you may experience his Love, Power and Anointing in every area of your life.

We further engage to AWAKE the church to the reality of the soon coming of JESUS CHRIST. This is GOD'S End Time Harvest Time. This is it Church! JESUS IS COMING!!! The harvest is passing, the summer is ended and we are not save, (Jeremiah 8:20).

 

To help build GOD an ARMY- And they lived, and stood up on their feet, an EXCEEDING GREAT ARMY. (Ezekiel 37:10). To establish depth in the body of Christ (establish foundations in first principles).
Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, Let us go on unto PERFECTION: Not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward GOD, of doctrine of baptism and of laying on hands and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. (Hebrews 6:1-3).

 

To redefine what a Minister is- Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves: But our sufficiency is of GOD; Who also hath made us able Ministers of the New Testament; Not of the Letter, but of the Spirit; For the letter Killeth, But the Spirit Givith Life ( II Corinthians 3:5-6).

 

To train believers to Minister in the spheres of their activity- And they went forth, and preaching everywhere the Lord working them, and confirming the word with signs following. (Mark 16:20)

 

To provide people a different learning environment, one where they can experience what is being taught. That they may know the certainly of those things, where in thou has been

Instructed. (Luke 1:4)

To train believers how to Work the Works of GOD!!!
